Welcome to meals-4-monologues.co.uk
Veronica Ellis' Meals-4-monologues event raising food and funds for the Trussell Trust charity.
What is a Meals-4-Monologues event?
Meals-4-Monologues is an inspiring concept that has run successfully in America for a number of years. In the UK it features at the Actors Pro Expo event.
It is a fund/food raising event which gets actors in the room performing in front of industry professionals. While collecting a food donation from each participant.
How does it work?
- The day runs like an audition day with multiple creatives on the panel.
- The Panel consists of Agents, Casting Directors, Directors and Producers. Each offering two hours of their time to the cause.
- Actors perform a three minute monologue to a panel of industry specialists and receive feedback.
- Each actor brings a donation for a food bank. They will receive a list in advance and are advised to bring 4 items from it.
- Booking - actors book a time slot online in advance.
- *Actors must be over 18 years of age.•
In 2024 we aim to add a new Educational Branch for more information please click below:

A note from me
Hello,
I'm Veronica Ellis. I am an actor and creative based in South London. Anyone who knows me knows I have a big love of food. The idea that anyone is struggling to put food on the table or to feed their children is unbearable. At the moment 1 in 7 adults in the UK face hunger poverty, the food banks need donations.
As an actor I know sometimes you just want a chance to be 'in the room'. This event combines collecting food donations with helping actors get seen.
Meals-4-monolgues has run successfully in America for many years. I am inspired to help people in the same way. This event is solely being organised by me, I'm delighted to hire Brixton House and to collect for Trussell Trust Charity.
I wish you all the most wonderful experience. Play well my friends.
